English Translation:
In ancient times, there was a musician named Gongming Yi. He played the qin very well. One day, he saw an ox grazing. He thought: "Let me play a tune for the ox." So he began playing, and the music was very beautiful. But the ox continued eating grass, showing no reaction. Gongming Yi sighed and said: "Playing the qin to an ox is a waste of effort!"
