English Translation:
In ancient times, a man had a flock of sheep. One morning, he found one sheep missing. His neighbor told him: "Your sheep pen has a hole, and a wolf got in and took the sheep." The neighbor advised: "Fix the pen quickly." But he said: "The sheep is already lost, what good is fixing the pen?" The next morning, he found another sheep missing. He deeply regretted it and quickly fixed the pen. From then on, he never lost any more sheep.
